Top tips from Alan Gibbons

It was really wonderful for our students to have two workshops with the famous writer, Alan Gibbons, on March 17 and 20.

Gibbons is funny and talked a lot about himself. Then he wrote quick stories based on students' suggestions, including one about "a monster" and one about "no hair".

Gibbons taught us that when we write, we should not tell the facts directly, but just describe things and create tension.
