On March 28, we visited the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation for the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. It was a memorable experience.

The students visited many local companies, and experienced first-hand the wide range of jobs in the tech industry.

We learned so much about the history of fibre optics, which can be used in many ways, for example, in surgery and data transmission.

What's more, a variety of environmentally friendly designs were introduced at the event. These included a water curtain, solar thermal cooling system, ventilated courtyard design, and motorised sun louvres. They not only lower power consumption, but also raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and sustainability.

We were amazed by these green inventions, and had a great time at the event learning more about the tech industry.
