Cocooned in a flurry of snowflakes, the sky streaks of blue and pink. But on the inside? Nothing but cold and numbness. Your head a whirlwind of emotions, it was silly how smiling felt like a betrayal. This was how I felt when my best friend, told me she had a boyfriend. We grew up together in a love-hate relationship, even baring our souls to each other. Now I only felt indescribable heartache, she would never be fully mine again. Is this what it’s like to irrevocably love someone? Yet, love is putting someone’s happiness above you own, right?
