Ed Sheeran will be coming to Hong Kong Disneyland and we have a pair of tickets for one lucky winner.

We asked our Young Post readers to design and draw a tattoo for Ed Sheeran with a Hong Kong theme, and to explain their concept in 150 words or less.

Here are some of our best entries:

Gurung Sumip, 18, Rosaryhill Secondary School

I designed a colored tattoo, because he like tattoos with color :D and each of his tattoo has a special meaning. I chose to draw disneyland, not only because  he will be performing there, but because disneyland is where dreams come true. And im 100% sure he’s gonna make the dreams of so many fans that night, with the support he has given us through his songs, we will give him our voices and the best time in Hong Kong. That’s why i added a little touch of the Hong Kong flag waving through disneyland, making him remember the moment forever.

The main part of this design is a guitar because I wanted to incorporate both music and HK into the design. First of all, on the guitar, there’s a panda with a cast which represents HK and commemorates the last time Ed Sheeran planned to come to HK but couldn’t, with some hearts, which represents “I’m glad your arm is all good!” On the top right corner of the guitar, there’s also a divide symbol, with the top bubble being Mickey, because Ed Sheeran is actually having a show at the “Happiest Place on Earth”, and I’m extremely excited! On the right side of the guitar also sits a Bauhinia flower, and on the bottom of the guitar is a skyline with some of HK’s most notable architectural designs. In the background are blue dots with different shades, and it mainly just adds colour with a Divide Tour feeling!

Chow Chi-laam, 15, SKH Bishop Baker Secondary School

One of the most symbolic and significant things to represent Hong Kong is definitely the bauhinia. The reason why I chose to draw bauhinia was simple. When I see bauhinias, they remind me about my city.I am proud to be a Hong Kong citizen,I love my community,I love the people around.I also added Mahjong in the design,as Mahjong is a traditional game in the Chinese culture.Although it might not exactly represent Hong Kong,it still has a tight connection with Hongkongers.I would like to show that eventhough things changed, these extraordinary culture will be branded deeply in our heart and last forever.
