Scotland's centre Huw Jones dives over the line to score a try during a Rugby Union test match between Scotland and Australia.

I love rugby so much, and want to play sevens. My favourite sport star is Huw Jones from Scotland. He may not be really famous now but he is my idol.  He is only aged 25, meaning he has a long career in-front of him. He is a really special player for many reason because his success was not easy for him.

He moved to South Africa to join a rugby team in order to strengthen his skill. He joined a club there and participated in a cup, scoring multiple tries and went through to the final, until the were losing badly. 33-15 with five minutes to go but he didn’t give up and scored the winning try 39-33, to lift the cup for their team, from being the underdogs.

In this year’s six nations, he was in Scotland’s team but was injured and out of the six nations. His achievements was so special to me because when he was young, he followed his dreams to become a rugby player, moved to South Africa and sacrificed to play rugby then from never giving up till the last minute, he won the cup. It was an amazing achievement for him and so special to me because I believe that he is going through the path I want to go in the future as a super keen rugby player.

Another reason his achievements are so special to me is because he has a good leadership and has a good team spirit. I saw him playing once, and they were losing and they huddled in and even though he is not the captain, he offered support to his teammates and helped them with their mentality. This is why he is my favourite sports star.
