Spoil Your Folks! Lily Choi Po-ying's entry for the Young Post buffet dinner competition
We asked our readers to write about what their perfect date with their parents or guardians would look like for their chance to win a buffet dinner at a five-star-hotel. Here is one of the entries, which has not been edited
Five years ago, it was my birthday. I dated with my family in Disneyland. The weather was fine on that day. All the things looked wonderful.
My ticket of Disneyland was free because that day was my birthday. My parents knew that I am scared of playing exciting games. Therefore, we only played safe and non-thrilling games in Disneyland.
We were very excited when we entered Disneyland. First, we took a photo in front of the castle. Then, we played The Flying Elephant. I feel great when I was flying to the high. We played ‘it’s a small world’ later . I really like the background music of it . I like the dolls most which in the ‘it’s a small world’ because it is exquisite. Therefore, I must play it when I go to Disneyland
Next, we played many games,for example,Tea cup, Slinky Dog Spin and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster. The games cannot make me happy . However, I were happy that I am accompanied with my family. Before the date ended, my parents bought me a watch of Disneyland. The number on the watch was shining. The Mickey mouse which in the watch smiled to me . I really like my birthday gift.
After we came back home, my parents and I celebrated my birthday with a cake which made by my mom. A cute happy girl was draw on the cake . I can’t forget the smile on my parents face . It is really warm.
It was a unique date. I was satified and enjoy this day. I was like a happy girl who stayed in wonderland. I want to go to Disneyland again and create more great memories with my family.
