Enthusiastic TV reporter: *smiles widely at camera* Hello everyone, I’m here with the newest member of Katy Perry’s entourage. *turns to Marissa* So, Marissa, I heard that you’re Katy Perry’s new costume designer.

Marissa: That’s right.

Enthusiastic TV reporter: What type of costume did you design for her new song?

Marissa: Katy Perry’s new costume is a sleek superhero outfit with decorations that represent each of her different songs. For example, the cape has a firework pattern that represents her song Firework. I’ve also designed a flowery headband for her to wear, which represents her song Roar, whereas the outfit itself is a military uniform-style costume, which represents her song Part of Me.

Slightly less enthusiastic TV reporter: That sounds very… uh… interesting! Why did you choose to use this design?

Marissa: I’ve always been a fan of Katy Perry –

TV reporter: Oh, yes, me too! *starts fangirling on live TV*

Marissa: Um, yes. So, as I was saying, I love how the passion she has for singing just naturally flows out in her songs. I mean, just listen to any of her songs, and you can really understand why she’s such a good singer.

Cameraman: Ahem, I hate to interrupt, but we have two more minutes before Katy Perry’s concert starts.

Extremely enthusiastic TV reporter: Two minutes? Okay, better make this quick. Marissa, how did you come up with the idea for this design?

Marissa: Well, Firework is one of my favourite Katy Perry songs, and I love how there’s so much emotion in Katy’s voice as she sings. I thought it would be cool to design a costume that really represented the song. Katy Perry is such a role model for so many people, which is what makes her a sort of modern-day superhero – I’m sure you’ll agree that she’s so inspiring!

TV reporter: *gives camera a fake grin* Yes, absolutely. I can understand why you chose to make this outfit superhero-themed, but what about the decorations?

Marissa: Katy Perry wouldn’t be Katy Perry without her songs. The costume I designed represents all her songs, and I plan to keep adding to the outfit as she records more and more songs. This way, the costume will stay evergreen – that is, it will be a classic, timeless Katy Perry costume that she can wear at any time.

Slightly bored TV reporter: Oh, that’s just wonderful. *glances at watch, gives a shrill giggle* Oh my, look at the time! Katy Perry’s going to walk onstage any moment now. I’m afraid that’s all we have time for today. *gives Marissa a fake sympathetic look* Well, that’s all for now, ladies and gentlemen. Stay tuned for live coverage of Katy Perry’s concert! *signals to cameraman, cameraman stops filming*
