Calling all creative writers! Our annual Summer Short Story competition is back, and this year is the most forward-thinking yet. If you think you can write a story that will blow us away, want to see your work in print, and be in with a chance of winning a Samsung VR Gear Headset along with a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7, you need to get writing.
Here's what you need to do:
- Send Young Post a story that is 1,800-2,000 words long.
- The story must be all your own work and set in Hong Kong.
- This year’s theme is: 2047. You can interpret the theme any way you wish.
- On your story's first page, write your name, age, school, and contact phone number.
- Email [email protected] with "2047" in the subject field and attach your story and a jpg photo of yourself.
The top entries will be published in our summer editions. The winner will receive a a Samsung VR Gear Headset along with a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7.
Closing date for entries is June 26.
Terms & Conditions
- Contest is only open to secondary school students in Hong Kong.
- The competition is not open to South China Morning Post staff or their families.
- Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
