I Say: If you could ask Santa one question, you would like to ask …

Each week we’ll choose reader’ responses to share. This week we want to know:

Oh Santa, tell me

I’d ask him what I’m going to be when I grow up. I still have no idea what job I’d like to have after I finish studying.

Tammy Yu Ho-lam, 12, Po Leung Kuk Ma Kam Ming College

What's your secret

I would ask him how much time he needs to prepare for Christmas. I know Santa has to go and give out billions of presents on Christmas Eve, but I’m curious to know exactly how much time it takes to get all the gifts ready. A week? A month? or the whole year? Christmas is coming soon and I can’t wait to receive my gift!

I Say: My Christmas wish is ...

Why do you do it

Santa always bring us so much joy. I would like to ask him what made him choose to become Santa. Santa has a very important role in Christmas and it seems his job would be very stressful at times.

Woo Hoi-shan, 12, Po Leung Kuk Ma Kam Ming College

Wishlist

I would ask him if he would mind sending me all of my wished-for things this Christmas. I want a pair of wireless headphones so I can listen to music in my free time. I would also like a big soft pillow to rest on as I watch TV during the cold winter holidays.

I say: If I had a million dollars…

Just a small delay

I would ask him when my gift will arrive. I’ve waited more than 10 years for my present to come. Please give me one this year, Santa.

Wong Chi-man, 18, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School

Childhood rituals

When I was little, my family and I would make our Christmas wish and hang a stocking by my bed for Santa to put my present in. We stopped doing that as a family when I grew older. If I could ask Santa a question, I’d ask him if he would still come and fill my stocking if I were to do it again this year.

Rudolph is not the only reindeer

I’d ask him where he found his flying reindeer. I think that is one of the most magical parts about Christmas. It would be awesome if all reindeer could fly!

Lau Chloe Hong-ching, 13, St Mary’s Canossian College

Teching up

I would ask him if he would consider using technology this year. For example, he could send out electronic Christmas cards. This would save him a lot of time and money, and it would also be better for the environment. I also don’t want Santa to get tired from hand writing so many cards.
