For me, silence is torture. My brain soaks up external opinions and they spread like cancer in my head. I once took a course that I absolutely detest, and as I sat through hour-long lectures, it felt like my head was becoming more and more empty. So I asked the question, what am I supposed to do? Then a voice answered.

Most inspiring quote:

“That depends a great deal on where you want to get to.” Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland

This answer cleared out the judgements and worries that filled my head, so I was able to really see what was right for me. We live in a world where we feel like people are watching us, so our decisions often aren’t heartfelt or genuine. To make sure we have no regrets, we should follow the genuine voice in our mind.

Hello there. The meaning of life has always fascinated me. Why are we here, and what is the point of doing anything when we’re all going to die someday? Yes, it’s an ominous topic, and it often causes me to lose my direction in life. Why should I work at all if nothing ever seems to come out of it? More often than not, I give up before I even try because I had already decided that I wouldn’t be good enough.

Most inspiring quote:

“The only difference between life and dying is one, is trying, that’s all we’re called to do.” Tyler Joseph from the band Twenty One Pilots

This quote, to me, means that if we don’t try in life, we are going to die spiritually. Tyler tells me to set a goal for myself: to “try”. It’s this process of trying that makes life valuable. I now have the motivation to give my all in every task, and try to improve myself and work towards my goal.

Hi everyone! I’m Conan, a Juris Doctor student at Chinese University. We have all been through sad moments when we were hurt by our friends or family, intentionally or unintentionally. When we thought nobody really cared. I am no exception to this.

Most inspiring quote:

He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds.”Psalm 147:3, The Bible

This reminds me of the fact that there is somebody out there: our Heavenly Father, who cares and heals, and listens to us when
we need him.

Hi guys! I’m definitely not one of those people who have it all figured out. In fact, I’m at a crossroads in my life, and the decision I make could very well decide my future. Making a choice is not something I’m very good at. In fact, most of the time, the decisions I make are impulsive and not very well thought out. For example, even when I have to choose between chocolate A and chocolate B, I’d normally end up just tossing them both in the trolley and calling it a day. It’s not something I’m proud of.

Most inspiring quote:

“Not all those who wander are lost.” The Lord of the Rings author J. R. R. Tolkien

I guess what I’ve come to learn is that not everything has to be decided now and not everything is set in stone. I still have time. I’m still young, and I can afford to make mistakes. Tomorrow’s another day, and no matter what decision I make and no matter what path I choose – the right one or the wrong one – I can always learn from my mistakes and grow as a person at the same time.
