Just sitting back at home doing nothing. Seriously, what is the point of having such a long holiday if you’re not going to do anything? Find a summer job or maybe join some clubs. This is a good way to make new friends, improve your communication skills and get some hands-on experience.

Make sure you don’t spend your entire holiday at home when you can be out enjoying life to the fullest!

You can’t do anything worse than focus on school work. Summer is meant to be a stress-free period for students, so forget about going to tutorial classes. This will only stress you out more.

Instead of burying yourself in textbooks, you should read and write during the holiday. For example, you could write a short story or letters to newspapers.

Travelling is also a good option because it can broaden your global perspective.

Undoubtedly, the worst thing you could do is to stay at home for the whole holiday. This holiday is the best time to travel abroad, experience different cultures and explore nature while you still have the energy to do so!

I’m going to visit the historic sites around Hong Kong because I am interested in the city’s culture and heritage.

I’m also going to study because I want to prepare for the new academic year, and it’s never too early to get ahead.

Of course, it’s important to set aside some time to play, too – that’s what holidays are for!

Sitting on your couch talking to your friends on the phone, or eating and watching TV while waiting for them to make plans for the holidays.

There are lots of things you can do with family or individually rather than sitting around and getting fat and bored with life. It’s also a huge waste to spend your days being jealous of everyone who is having fun and watching the days go by with no plan, saying things like, “I don’t know what to do”. Make plans yourself and invite your friends so this doesn’t happen to you.
