The contestants

Every Wednesday we ask our Brain Game contestants one interesting, thought-provoking or just plain quirky question. Their answers will be published anonymously in Young Post. Then readers vote for their FAVOURITE answer. We will eliminate the contestant with the LEAST votes every week until we have a winner. The ultimate Brain Game winner will win an iPad mini 4.

Votes close at midnight on Sunday.

Contestant 1

Doraemon would know exactly what to do! Though the Little Prince is loving, he is not sociable. Doraemon would give the Little Prince four magical gifts: a love potion, a talking potion, some wisdom bread, and the Anywhere Door. The love potion would lead the Little Prince to his true love and grant him eternal happiness. The talking potion will make him more talkative. The wisdom bread will give him more intelligence to understand others. And lastly, he can visit many different people around the universe with the magic door! It'd definitely make him happier!

Contestant 2

“Hi. You are very brave to carry a snake in your pocket,” the Little Prince would say. Doraemon would chuckle and answer, “I have everything inside my pocket!” The Little Prince would get an idea. “Can you give me a rose that never withers?” In response, Doraemon would take out a rose with gold petals. The Little Prince would gaze at the rose for a short while, and then sigh, “This is not it.” Doraemon would take out the Anywhere Door from his pocket and say, “This door can take you to the asteroid B612, and you’ll be back with your rose.”

Contestant 3

First, the Little Prince would ask Doraemon if he was a futuristic robot cat who cried himself blue because robot mice bit his ears off, and this would make Doraemon smile. Then, Doraemon would casually whip out his Anywhere Door from his pocket so they could travel through space. They’d visit each others’ homes and turn Earth into a bright ball of hope and wonder that would shine so bright that even the Little Prince's Rose would be able to see it from their little asteroid.

Contestant 4

Should the Little Prince meet Doraemon, he would probably chat with Doraemon, tell stories about his asteroid and the planets which he’s travelled to, and ask lots of questions. Doraemon would definitely be patient enough to answer each of the Little Prince’s questions. Then, Doraemon would transport the Little Prince back home and help him care for his rose. After that, they will travel around the entire cosmos and help people together.

Contestant 5

The Little Prince would immediately bombard Doraemon with countless questions, mostly deep and philosophical ones, to which Doraemon, in his usual helpful spirit, would immediately try to answer to the best of his knowledge. Once the Little Prince learned that his new friend has a pocket that holds many useful tools, he would request a sheep to be brought to Asteroid B-612, where it could consume the planet’s pesky Baobab weeds. And because Doraemon is so helpful, he would take the Little Prince back to his home and help him cater to his Rose’s vain and selfish requests.

Contestant 6

Doraemon is able to see the good side in everyone and the Little Prince has the same innocent, pure and loving heart. If they met, they would become great friends right away. Together they would be able to go travel the universe to learn about the meaning of life, and Doraemon could even take the Little Prince back to his home on Asteroid B-612 with his Anywhere Door, and save him from being bitten by a snake.

Contestant 7

The Little Prince: Bonjour!

Doraemon: Nani? ... Konichiwa!

L: (in French) Pardon? This thing doesn’t know my language ... *frowns*

D: Sugoi! (in Japanese) He is French! (Doraemon takes out a translator from its pocket and uses it to tell the boy his name) Je m’appelle Doraemon!

L: *nods* Je m’appelle Le Petit Prince. (French) Actually… what are you?

D: *inputs in translator* I am a robotic cat, but my ears were bitten off by mice a long time ago. *giggles*

L: Oh, I'm so sorry. I hope I can find something to help you grow your ears back on one of the planets in the universe.

Contestant 8

The Little Prince would say: Hello. What a peculiar creature you are. May I have a glass of water? Oh! I would also like a magic shovel that will remove all the baobab trees from my planet. Lastly, I’d like to wish for a story, a book perhaps? That could remind people that life is more than meaningless possessions and achievements. And that every adult was a child once.
