I don’t know anyone personally who could do this, so I’ll say Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. She’s considered the brightest witch of her age, and knew tonnes of complex spells even before she took her OWLS (that’s “Ordinary Wizarding Levels”, or exams witches and wizards take in their fifth year). With just her wand, Hermione could use any number of ways to defeat Captain America. She could use the Full Body-Bind Curse to stop him from moving, or Transfigure him into a toad. She could use the Imperius Curse – which is illegal – and make Captain America do silly things and defeat himself, all without getting her robes dirty. However, I also think it would be really hard to get Hermione do that to a good person.

Captain America might seem like he’s invincible, but he’s not. He’s a super soldier, and that doesn’t mean he can’t be hurt. A quick strike to the head might be all it takes. So who could possibly hurt him? When we talk about fast strikes, I think of a bow firing an arrow. One arrow to the head, and that’s him defeated. Who do we know that would be able to fire a volley of deadly arrows like that? Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, that’s who. All it would take to end the Cap’s life is the Mockingjay snapping the string of her bow.

Contestant 3

Hmm … that is a tough question, given that Captain America is almost immortal. I think Ye Wen (Yip Man) would be the one to defeat him – even without superpowers. This is because Yip Man is super composed, and very patient. The fight would start out in Beijing where the Captain would be looking for a criminal that has escaped into China. This criminal would be Yip Man’s friend and, not knowing his friend did something wrong, Yip Man would fight Captain America to protect him. It would be an epic battle between East and West – until Captain America trips up and surrenders. No bleeding or bruising necessary.

Contestant 4

Obviously, Iron Man would beat Captain America in a fight. First of all, Iron Man has the cooler costume, with missiles and things built into it. All Captain America has is a blue suit and a shiny shield. Iron Man is also super smart. Tony Stark BUILT his own suit. He knows exactly how it works, and how to make it a deadly weapon. He can also fly, so all Iron Man has to do is keep a safe distance from Captain America and shoot missiles at Captain America until he is down.

Contestant 5

Harry Potter. Harry’s a wizard – if he can beat Voldemort, he can defeat Captain America. All he has to do is shout “Protego!” and he’d be surrounded by an impenetrable barrier. Captain America’s primary weapon is his shield, right? Harry could summon the shield to him with a Summoning Charm, and the Captain would be left without a weapon. Harry has a wand and an invisibility cloak. Captain America might be a fighting expert, but all the moves in the world won’t help if he can’t see his opponent. Harry could simply paralyse him from behind by shouting, “Petrificus Totalus!”. The Boy Who Lived? More like The Hero Who Lived.

Contestant 6

I think Saitama (One-Punch Man) would beat Captain America. Saitama can destroy walls and buildings with a single punch. He can move at hypersonic speed, so he’d be able to dodge Captain America’s attacks. Saitama can withstand extremely powerful blows. Even if he was, for example, kicked all the way to the moon by Captain America, he’d just re-enter the Earth's atmosphere completely unharmed. All Saitama has to do to finish the match would be to throw one serious punch.
