The contestants

Contestant 1

I’d live on a farm in a big open field, where the wind rustles the brown maize, the days are bright and sunny, and the air is crisp and cool.

All day long, we’d play in lakes so blue you can see the mountains reflected on them, and then maybe we’d try to catch fish with our bare hands. We’d pick ripe peaches from the trees, fall into the mud and bruise ourselves terribly. Then we’d pick ourselves back up and stagger home to a warm beef stew.

I’d like to be in that place, or any other place that feels like home, for the rest of my life.

Contestant 2

If I’m going to be stuck somewhere forever, it may as well be somewhere out of this world. Literally. I would choose to spend my life exploring outer space. There’s so much we don’t know about it I would never get bored.
If you’ve seen photos of planets and stars taken from the Hubble Space Telescope, you’d probably agree the images are incredible. Wouldn’t it be spectacular to see these beautiful sights in person?

I might even become famous for being the first human to go through this experience.

I’m hoping that technology would allow me to continue communicating with people on Earth, so that I don’t get lonely and I can share my findings with them.

Contestant 3

I want to be stuck in Heaven! I believe it exists. It is the place where all the good, righteous people go to. I would never get bored there.

I love history, so I would get to chat with dozens, or perhaps thousands, of people and learn what they have done in their lives. I would also share my stories. I might also be able to fly to the moon, or play with stars, or jump through clouds.

I want to meet angels in Heaven, sing hymns with them, and listen to their angelic voices. I might even get the opportunity to see the true face of God, and Jesus Christ, too.

Contestant 4

Pizza Express. It’s my favourite restaurant in Hong Kong. Think about it – I could work there to earn money, and use it to buy pizza! I could also give the money to my sister so she can buy anything she wants. It’s kind of perfect.

I would still be able to hang out with my friends and family, and meet lots of people with good taste; anyone that eats at Pizza Express clearly has good taste. Again, I’d be able to eat pizza every day. There’s no downside to this plan!

Contestant 5

I would stay in Hogwarts. I fell in love with this Neverland of wizardry after reading all of the Harry Potter books. Casting spells, getting to learn about alchemy and potions, and meeting majestic creatures in the Forbidden Forest – I would never be bored, that’s for sure.

With villains always attacking it, Hogwarts would be an exciting place to spend the rest of my life. I would be able to use Pegasus to ride around Hogwarts every day.

And finally, I would get the chance to meet Voldemort. Yes, I know he is dead, but let’s assume a good version of him has been “reborn” in a classroom. Where else in the world would you find a former evil wizard with a bald head and funny nose?!
