The contestants

Contestant 1

I would create a gremlin-like creature with leprechaun characteristics. It would change any money it finds into gold – which is useful because nowadays gold is more valuable than currency. It would be able to protect itself against greedy humans who try to steal the gold.

Contestant 2

When I first saw this question I immediately thought: “Wow, there are a lot of possibilities.” After some thought, I realised any animal like the secret agents from the cartoon Phineas and Ferb would be awesome. Imagine having a super-smart animal that could also be a crime fighter! That would be a creature worth creating.

Contestant 3

I would create a creature that is identical to humans, so that it would be able to survive in our world. But I would want it to possess super-traits. It would be a creative genius and help change the world like Steve Jobs did with Apple, which has made our lives much more convenient and efficient. It would also have the kindness and sincerity of Mother Teresa, and help to serve mankind in a compassionate manner. The creature would understand us, and be able to make a difference to our lives and communities.

Contestant 4

Maybe it’s a boss, or a girl, or a teacher you want to impress, but you don’t have the means to do so. You would have had to do a lot of slogging in the past, but slog no more! With my new creation, you’ll be able to win friends and influence people, and rise to the top. Just buy one of my new pets! They’re part machine, part turkey – and called the Creatively Honorific Retro Intelligent Suck-up. C.H.R.I.S., for short.

Contestant 5

My creature would have a Baymax-type figure (from Big Hero 6). It would be covered with soft fur, have cute, round eyes, a small, black, round nose, the ears of a panda, and four chubby legs. To make it a special, out-of-this-world creature, it would be able to change its fur to any colour, like a chameleon. It could also grow or shrink to any size, and it would understand human speech, too.

Contestant 6

A shape-shifting, flying dog would be awesome! It would cuddle up to you when you sleep, and be ready to play with you at any time like a normal dog. If someone was allergic to it, it would just transform into a different animal of your choice. It could also become bigger, so you’d be able to fly on it to school every day! The possibilities are endless!

Contestant 7

I would create a creature that eats rubbish, tastes like bacon, and multiplies very quickly. Since it eats rubbish, we could set them loose in landfills, and help make the Earth a cleaner place to live in no time. We’d be able to eat them, too, because it would taste just like bacon. Finally, here’s the thing: since they multiply quickly, there would be more bacon!

Contestant 8

I would create a doppelganger – someone who looks just like me – because then I would always have someone to share my secrets with (assuming I’m good at keeping secrets in the first place). Of course, my doppelganger has to be obedient and act like me. When I can’t be bothered to go to school, I could always get my doppelganger to take my place, and I’d get to chill at home. Hey, nothing could go wrong, right?

Contestant 9

I would create a cute creature that gives me pleasure in my leisure. It can tell me the future, where to find others’ treasures and oh! Safety measures. I am going to go on many adventures with this cute creature. I sincerely hope it will stay and never betray (me) so we will never go astray.
