The Government House has seen its share of drama these past couple of days.

Chief Executive CY Leung’s daughter Leung Chai-yan posted on her Instagram this morning that she’s "officially left home". This is the latest to the saga, which began with Chai-yan’s dramatic social media posts that started yesterday morning.

Her first Instagram post today was at around 5am, and says she's left home.

More than 2,000 ‘liked’ the Instagram post, and users left supportive comments like, “be strong!”, “follow your heart” and “6am? Did you sleep last night? Hope you can find a real way out, have a good sleep. All the best”.

Five hours later, the 23-year-old law student of London School of Economics posted a selfie from inside a vehicle on Instagram. The image is captioned "TA", which can mean either "goodbye" or "thank you".

When contacted by phone, the Office of the Chief Executive declined to comment as to whether the Chief Executive’s daughter has either left the Government House or Hong Kong.

A Facebook event was set up yesterday evening for a vigil at the government house from 8pm to 11pm. More than 400 people were invited through Facebook, and more than 300 clicked ‘attending’. And at 9pm last night, a Facebook user commented in the event page saying, "honestly, there aren't that many people left. A few will remain till 11pm."

Since yesterday morning, Leung Chai-yan’s Instagram account has gained around 10 thousand followers. As of 1pm today, she has more than 10,500 followers.
