Hong Kong protests: Secondary school teacher admits to inappropriate question suggesting police-triad collusion

The question was deemed biased.A teacher from a secondary school in Diamond Hill admitted making an error of judgment and apologised for hinting at alleged collusion between police and triads in a fill-in-the-blank question, the school announced on its website.
This came after a photo of Po Leung Kuk Celine Ho Yam Tong College’s internal Chinese Language worksheet was circulated online.
In the Chinese idiom exercise sheet for Form One students, one of the questions suggested “Police are maintaining law and order on the surface, but colluding with triads in actual fact, disregarding the safety of citizens.”
In a statement released by the school, the question was described as “inappropriate” and “biased,” and the teacher’s behaviour “completely unprofessional and unacceptable”. It said the teacher had admitted to making a mistake, and was deeply regretful.
Earlier this month, students at the school sang Do You Hear the People Sing? during morning assembly on the first day of school, when the national anthem was being played.
