HK Disneyland’s newest Marvel attraction 'Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle' to open in late March, here's what to expect
The interactive ride is the first attraction ever to star popular characters Ant-Man and The Wasp

Hong Kong Disneyland’s newest Marvel-themed attraction Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle is set to open on March 31, 2019. Marvel fans will be able to fight alongside their heroes in an interactive ride where they will use ‘EMP Blasters’ to defeat HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola, and an evil army of Swarmbots. The ride will "shrink" you down to ant-size, but you'll get a light-based gun to prevent a crucial Data Core from being stolen!
Disney representatives have stated that Nano Battle is a continuation of the story from the Iron Man Experience that's housed next door, which sees Tony Stark as Iron Man take visitors on a heart-stopping ride through Hong Kong to defeat the Swarmbots.
The new ride will form part of an ongoing expansion of the Marvel-themed area in Disneyland's Tomorrowland.
Bryan Thombs, senior creative director of Nano Battle from Walt Disney Imagineering, said a key part of the experience would be the difference in scale between the normal world and the gigantic size of everything as seen from a miniature perspective. "After you’re shrunken down, the set design and effects of the ride will trigger all your senses. Everything will be massive in scale, and the unique interplay between exploring the same world at two different sizes is what’s really unique about this new attraction."
Actors Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will be reprising their roles from Ant-Man and the Wasp in Nano Battle, and visitors will also be able to browse select artefacts from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Destroyer Armour Prototype Gun Agent Phil Coulson used to confront Loki with in 2012’s The Avengers.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle will be the world’s first ever attraction to star the humourous superhero duo, and also the first Marvel attraction to cast a female superhero in a lead role.
