The Hong Kong ICT Awards (HKICTA) 2019 are now open for entries.

The award invites tech fans to showcase their information and communications technology (ICT) products and solutions. The competition also hosts a Student Innovation Award that is divided into four age groups: post-graduate, post-secondary and undergraduate, secondary, and primary.

Secondary school applicants will need to produce a five-slide powerpoint related to a STEM topic, and video demonstrations and prototypes are also welcome.

Industry leaders get real about future career opportunities for young people in technology, robots vs humans, and women in Stem

The lucky winners will receive internship and job training opportunities, a sponsored four-day tour to Digital China Expo in Fujian, three months' free access to the Lion Rock 72 co-working space at Innocentre in Kowloon Tong, and be able to take part in workshops led by industry experts.

The awards, now in their 13th year, are organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, while the Student Innovation Award is organised by Hong Kong Innovative Technology Development Association.

The enrolment deadline for the Student Innovation Award is January 18, 2019. You can find out more on the Awards official website.
