About 59,000 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) certificates are ready to be distributed to the 2018 DSE candidates starting from today, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority announced on their blog today.

Day schools were advised to send representatives to the HKEAA’s Southorn Centre office in Wan Chai by this Friday (October 26) to collect the certificate for their students. Private candidates’ certificates will be sent out via Hongkong Post.

The HKDSE certificates will only be distributed to candidates who achieved at least: Level One in one of the Category A (Senior Secondary) subjects; “attained” in one of the Category B (Applied Learning) subjects; or Grade E in one of the Category C (Other Language) subjects.

Experts encourage HK universities to focus less on exam results, more on the "whole" student

The certificates will contain the same content as the Results Notices that candidates received on July 11 (except where results were upgraded after rechecking and re-marking) which includes candidates’ personal particulars, DSE results by subject, and the total number of subjects taken. The results of each component in the subjects Chinese Language, English Language, and Combined Science will be listed separately.

Students are advised to check their particulars and results upon receiving the certificates. If amendments are needed, bring your certificate to the HKEAA by December 31 and fill in an application form.

If you have any enquiries, contact the Public Examinations Information Centre at 3628 8860.
