The Hong Kong Observatory raised the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal at 10.20am today. This means that heavy rain is expected to fall across the city. 

The observatory warned that there would be flooding in some low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage. Residents are warned to take steps to ensure their safety.

People should also stay away from water courses, like river beds or nullahs, as heavy rain can bring flash flooding. 

There will still be showers tomorrow, with some sunny periods next week.
