26 per cent of 2018 HKDSE students have applied for their exams resulted to be rechecked and remarked by the HKEAA
Out of the 2018 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) exam cadidates, 26.29 per cent (15,155 students) applied for their results to be rechecked and remarked. According to the Public Affairs and Communications Unit of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) that is 0.27 per cent less than last year.
According to the provisional statistics collected by the HKEAA, students are allowed to apply for four rechecking or remarking. From the 15,155 students there is a total of 31 637 applications for remarking of a subject or component, and 174 applications for rechecking a subject. The former is slightly increased this year by 0.01 per cent, while the latter saw a slight reduction by 0.02 per cent compared to the 2017 applications for rechecking and remarking.
Results of HKDSE review appeals are tentatively scheduled for release on Wednesday, August 8. School candidates will need to collect their review results from their schools, while private and evening school candidates will be able to view their results using their user accounts on the HKDSE Online Services website.
The Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) Office or other tertiary institutions concerned, as well as the Education Bureau, will also be informed of the revised results of the candidates concerned at the same time.
