Ed will gamely continue with some of his tour dates though sadly, Hong Kong has been nixed.

Bad news for all those Hong Kong Sheerios out there: Ed Sheeran has cancelled his November 4 and 5 gigs. According to a press release issued by organisers AEG, the Asia tour will start on November 11 in Singapore, with the shows in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Mumbai and Dubai going ahead as scheduled.

The shows in Osaka, Tokyo and Manila will be rescheduled to April next year, with original tickets remaining valid.

But sadly, due to a lack of venues, the British superstar will not be returning to the 852. Taipei, Seoul and Jakarta will also miss out.

Sheeran said "A follow-up to my doctors today confirmed that I will be good to go from the Singapore dates onwards...

"My dates in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Jakarta will sadly need ot be cancelled as it's just been impossible to reschedule these for next year.

"I'm really gutted that not all the postponed dates could be rescheduled and I am working hard with my team to try and come back to these places as soon as I can to see all of you.

"I'm sorry to everyone who has been affected by this."

Sheeran had fractured his right wrist and left elbow in a bicycle accident earlier in the month.
