2017 is shaping up to be an awesome year for live music lovers in Hong Kong. From Britney Spears promising to dazzle anyone lucky enough to have grabbed tickets for less than HK$1,200 for her gig next Tuesday and Manchester's favourite honorary citizen Ariana Grande in September, to everyone's favourite guitar guy Ed Sheeran in November, and Shawn Mendes just before Christmas, we're really being treated to some excellent acts.

And now you can add to your summer plans, because former Jonas Brother Joe is coming with this dance-rock band DNCE in August, to treat us to all the hits from their three-time platinum, self-titled album.

Tickets for the August 14 gig at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok go on general sale on Thursday morning at 10am. We have heard nothing as to whether Joe will sing from his Jonas Brothers back catalogue, or whether Nicki Minaj will be here to perform her Kissing Strangers verse live, but in the meantime, here's something to tide you over. Get it, tide? Cake by the Ocean? Tide? You love it.
