The girl was found abandoned in Sheung Shui on Thursday and was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for observation.

Police are searching for the family of a girl who was abandoned in Sheung Shui on Thursday.

Officers received a report that a girl was found alone outside a car park in Choi Yuen Estate at about 5pm yesterday.

The youngster is believed to be 8 years old. She is about 1.2 metres tall, with short black hair and of thin build.

She was wearing a round neck T-shirt with blue and white stripes, dark brown shorts and black shoes.

No identity documents were found on the child.

The girl, who appeared unharmed, was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for observation.

Tai Po district’s officers are investigating.

Police urged her relatives or anyone who has information to contact any police station or the officers of the Tai Po District on 3661 3600 or 3661 3559.
