A storytelling event was held in December at Tung Chung Community Hall by the Disney “VoluntEARS”. More than 30 volunteers performed dancing and singing shows for low-income families in Tung Chung. There was also a Disney storytelling section, hosted by Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Ambassador Arthur Lau.

This “Family Storytelling, Neighbourhood Developmental Project” was launched back in 2010. It aims not just to entertain the children by telling them stories, but to give the parents unique storytelling tips they can use at home.

“This monthly event is beneficial for us. It helps me and my child bond while I learn how to tell a story better with a vivid tone and impressive gestures,” said Mr Yeung, a parent whose child has taken part in the sessions for more than two years.
