A woman leaves the Wuhan Medical Treatment Centre, where a man who died from a respiratory illness was confined, in the city of Wuhan. Since then, a second person has passed away due to the illness.
A 69-year-old man died on Wednesday from the Wuhan pneumonia, the second victim of the myserious virus.
The man lived in Wuhan, China, where the virus originated from. He became sick on December 31 and his condition worsened five days later, suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis and organ failure.
The disease - which is a coronavirus, in the same family as the potentially deadly Sars that racked Hong Kong in 2002-2003 - originated in a seafood market in Wuhan that has since been closed.
Dozens of people have been hospitalised for the disease, but it is not yet clear if it can be transferred from human-to-human.
