What would you do if we had snow here in Hong Kong?

If I woke up one day and found that Hong Kong was covered in snow, I’d immediately take some photos and a video. It never snows here, and if it did it would a very special event for the city. It would be the first time for me to see snow as well.

Eunice Wong Lok-ching, 12, Carmel Pak U Secondary school

I’d be very surprised. I’ve never seen snow before. First, I’d play in the snow and build a snowman with my friends. Then I’d like to learn how to ski down snowy mountains. I think skiing is a very exciting sport.

Jasmine So, 12, St Paul School (Lam Tin)

If it suddenly started snowing in Hong Kong, I would be extremely excited. I’ve always hoped that it would snow here. If my wish really came true, I’d be super happy. I’d love to make a snowman and have a snowball war.

Ashley Wong, 11, St Paul School (Lam Tin)

Why I love Christmas so much

If Hong Kong’s mountains were all covered in snow, I’d definitely want to go skiing and snowboarding. I’d also like to play in the snow with my pets, build a snowman and have a snowball fights with my friends. If Victoria Habour were frozen, I’d go ice skating on it.

Issac Kwong, 14, Scientia Secondary School

I’d immediately run outside, pyjamas and all, to marvel at the rare sight. The last time I saw snow was five years ago. I love seeing the unique and beautiful snowflakes fall from the sky. I’d probably be so excited that the cold weather wouldn’t bother me at all. I’d have the best time of my life spending the entire day looking at snowflakes and building snowmen.

Chloe Lau Hong-ching, 14, St Mary’s Canossian College

I’d first make sure I’m dressed warmly enough, then make a pot of hot tea. I’d enjoy my drink in front of the window and watch the snow and snowflakes fall from the sky. Of course, I’d also take plenty of photos to record this precious and incredible scene.

Jenny Lau, 16, Fung Kai No 1 Secondary School

Which Disney villain would make the best roommate?

I’d have a snowball fight with my friends and enjoy the beauty of the snow. I think it could bring my friends and I closer, and that it would be fun and relaxing. I think building a snow man would also be a must. Reminds me of the Frozen song Do You Want To Build a Snowman.

Judy chu, 12, Carmel Pak U Secondary School

I’d play football with my friends in the snow because football is my favourite sport. I think it would be magical to play in that moment. I think running around and kicking the ball would keep me warm, which would help me avoid catching a cold in the snow.

Peyton Siu Pak-shun, 10, PLK Grandmont Primary School

I’d put on my coat and mittens then run outside to build a snowman and have a snowball fight with friends. It would so be fun to lay on the ground and make a snow angel. Once I’m tired, I’d go back home, drink hot chocolate, and listen to Taylor Swift’s new warm and sweet holiday tune Christmas Tree Farm with my family.

Dora Zeng, 12, Carmel Pak U Secondary School

Where would you go for the perfect Christmas holiday?

I’d grab my thickest coat and put it on to protect myself from the cold. I’ve always dreamed of going to Japan to experience snow, but I hate feeling cold.

Ko Lok-yiu, 12, Scientia Secondary school
