Simply the best
It’s Ms Yeung. She has been teaching my family members since the day my eldest sister joined the school. That was more than five years ago. She understands us more than any other teacher. She treats her students like her own children. Although she might get angry sometimes, she does that for our own good. She prepares us for our future and tells us how to deal with life issues sensibly. She is THE best teacher any student can ever have. I can’t think of any way in which I can return the favour.

Troublemakers beware!
Ms Chow is a teacher whom all troublemakers would hate, but if you are not one of them, you would definitely love her attitude. As you may have guessed, she is in charge of student discipline at the school. She is so strict that nearly all of my classmates stay alert for the sound of her high heels. She was my life and society teacher last year. It’s a really difficult subject and she explains everything in detail. Also, her English is so fluent that students can understand her easily. That’s why she is my favourite teacher.

Fun English lessons
Ms Laurie is a unique teacher because she focuses on the students’ interests rather than how serious they are about studying. She gives us quizzes almost every day and she doesn’t care about the homework we forget, to do or textbooks we forget to bring, because she doesn’t believe in punishing students for their faults. There’s no stress for me during her English class which is great fun.

All-round skills
There are many good teachers in my school, but Mr Ip is my favourite. He has been my class teacher for two years. He always tells jokes and makes us laugh. He also has his serious side because he talks about the philosophy of life. In addition, he is a very good maths teacher; thanks to him, my grades have improved.

Honesty the key
My favourite teacher is Mr Lau, who has taught me maths since I was in Secondary Three. He is a great maths teacher as well as my mentor. He often tells us that honesty and a heart-to-heart talk is the best way to strengthen a relationship. Sometimes I fail to hand in my homework on time, but he is happy when I tell him the truth – in other words, I have to be honest with him. He doesn’t set too many rules and allows students to think for themselves. He has a very good attitude and that’s why he is my No. 1 teacher.

Sweet as candy
My favourite teacher is Mr Ho. He teaches English. Mr Ho is funny and gives away candy at recess. Whenever I see him, he’s trying to avoid crowds wanting to have candy. Because he gives away candy for free, he has been given the nickname “Candy Man”. Too bad he will retire next year! Wei Lun will really miss him!

All in the attitude
There are so many teachers who put in a lot of effort on behalf of their students. One of my favourite teachers is Mr Leung, who teaches Chinese history at our school. He is a passionate and intelligent teacher, and he’s always willing to share his thoughts with us. He has also inspired me to be a more active student. One of his favourite quotes is: “What I care about is not your marks, but your attitude!”

Necessarily strict
During my first year in secondary school, I was lost like any other newbie.Then I met my English teacher, Miss Wong. She was very strict and sought perfection all the time. However, she was humorous and patient, even with our noisy class. I used to think that she was a bit rude when she told some of my noisy classmates to shut up, but she was doing it for our own good. I still remember the day you told me to stand up for two whole lessons, Miss Wong. We all miss you dearly!

A lot on his plate
I like Mr Leung, my primary schoolteacher, the most. H wears black, except on Fridays, and he is very kind. When I was in primary school, I ate my food very slowly. He did not shout at me but encouraged me to eat more. Within a week, I could finish my lunch quickly, and my mother thanked Mr Leung for his efforts.

A musical journey
Definitely my harp teacher, Ms Judy Ho. She has been teaching me for the past five years, and she is really nice and hard-working. She gives me a lot of feedback on my playing. Lately, I have been practising a really difficult piece for an international competition. We have been working really hard together, and Ms Ho even gives lessons via WhatsApp sometimes. I am very proud that she is my harp teacher!
