If you could have one super-heightened sense, what would you choose?
This week, we asked our readers: if you could have one super-heightened sense, like sight, smell or hearing, what would you choose and why?
A feast for the eyes
Why not enhanced eyesight? You will never need a microscope for biology lessons!

I smell you ....
A super-heightened sense of smell, definitely. With my ability to distinguish different smells from far away, it would be really fun to help cops track down criminals, missing people, kidnapped victims or even drugs.
This whole idea sounds awesome, until my brother comes into my mind ... he likes farting when he’s next to me!

Magic touch
I would choose to have a super-heightened sense of touch. It would come in very handy. For example, I would be able to feel even a tiny bit of food on my clothes, so I can clean it immediately and avoid any embarrassment afterwards.
Also, I would feel it the moment a mosquito lands on my skin. Then I can swat it away and avoid getting bitten!

Clean-up act
I would choose smell. Usually, when I have a blocked nose, I can’t smell anything. So if I smell bad, I wouldn’t know it. But with my super-heightened sense of smell, I would be able to have a shower before anyone noticed.
Or perhaps I could become Cricket O’Dell from the Archie comics series, who has the ability to smell money.

A pretty sight
Sight, of course. First of all, I wouldn’t need to wear glasses anymore. This would save me a lot of trouble. Most importantly, I would be able to see any crimes, or other illegal activities, and report them to the police immediately. Helping police solve cases would be so cool!

Key to good singing
I would choose super hearing, because I could use that skill for singing and playing music. Then I wouldn’t sing off-key and no one would laugh at me anymore.

Don’t lose your edge!
Super-heightened sight, no doubt. I easily lose things. So if I have a keen eyesight, I would be able to get them back pretty quickly. Super hearing is also a good option but then I would probably be affected by what people say behind my back.

Probably common sense, because it is essential for daily life. With better common sense, I would be able to stand out from the crowd.

Super sight, which would help me zoom in on things for a closer look. Then I could see what’s going on around the world and see my cousins in Spain eating churros!

Now you’re talking!
I would choose to have a super sense for learning languages. With this skill, I would be able to speak many languages, and travel around the world without having any communication problems. Visiting Korea is on top of my to-do list. So firstly I would learn Korean – a very difficult language – and then visit the country.
