Pixar inspired: Party like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the gang in 'Toy Story' in these fun, trendy 90s fashion choices
Each week, we’ll take a fashion trend inspired by a Pixar movie and show you how to achieve it at home. This week’s look is inspired by Toy Story
The 90s was a decade of bold fashion choices; from over-lined lips, to big, fluffy hair, to dark blue eyeshadow (whyyy). For a throwback tribute to the days of the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, try these 90s trends.
Inspired by the childlike fun and whimsy of Pixar’s 1995 debut feature film Toy Story, this week’s model, Angelina Wang, wears an outfit that embodies the fun of the era.
With a colourful striped top, dungarees, and high-top sneakers, Angelina’s look proves that after almost two decades, there is plenty of 90s fashion that remains as on-trend as ever today.

Make-up
Some of the make-up trends from the 90s have evolved to fit today’s beauty trends. For example, all-over glitter gel has now morphed into an understated glitter liner, and over-lined lips have made a comeback thanks to Kylie Jenner. They’re just way more subtle now!
Glittery eyes are one of the most recognised looks of the 90s, so Angelina’s peepers have been given a subtle sparkly makeover.
First, dab a pea-sized amount of primer on your eyelids, as this will stop the shadow from creasing in your lids. Using a flat brush, apply a shimmery dark brown eyeshadow all over the eyelid. Next, with your fingers or a clean flat brush, apply a metallic shade onto the centre of the eyelid. Angelina’s eye make-up is fairly subtle, but feel free to use a bolder colour if you want a more intense look.
Once you’re happy with your eyeshadow, line your upper and lower lash lines with a thin, black liquid liner. Allow it to dry before lining your top and bottom waterlines.
Finally, add a few coats of mascara to frame and open your eyes.

Hair
One of the most exciting aspects of 90s beauty was how creative we got with our tresses. But sometimes, you just wanted something simple, and two braids fit the bill. They are easy to create, and are perfect if you don’t have time to wash or style your hair in the morning.
Part your hair into two sections. You can do a central parting, but we went for a side parting on Angelina. Plait each side, before securing the ends with a hair tie.
For extra volume and texture, gently tease the edges of your braid to loosen them.
