Apps that help make studying a breeze
Forget the selfie. Mobile technologies are changing the way we learn. Besides SnapAsk, here are some other useful learning apps:
Duolingo
Duolingo is a language learning app that can be used to learn over ten different languages, ranging from French to Swedish, through a series of bite-sized lessons. It works well because of its fun and easy game format. Get a question wrong? You lose a heart. Aced it? Level up! The best bit, of course, is that it’s entirely free.
ClearFocus
ClearFocus is a simple timer that you can use to help focus while you do homework. It’s based off of the Pomodoro System, which alternates 25 minutes of work with five minutes of break, with a longer 15-minute break after four sets of work. You can customize the work length and the break length. During the work sessions, it turns off Wi-Fi and keeps the screen on so, that you know how long you have left until you can take a break.
StudyBlue
Feeling blue from too much studying? Here’s the solution: StudyBlue! It’s a fantastic app which enables you to connect with your teachers, friends and classmates to study. Similar to Quizlet, you can create your own flashcards or find card sets to study, or even create a class account to share with everyone.
