Shawn Mendes confirms he's dating Camila Cabello after a summer of speculation
The singers, who recently teamed up on their hit song Señorita, have been private about their relationship until he recently opened up to fans
The Canadian-born Shawn Mendes got his start posting videos of him singing on Vine.In a video shared by a fan on Twitter, Mendes was asked during a question and answer session, “You’ve said you’ve never been in love. Has that changed recently?” referring to an interview he gave in 2017 in which he said that he was excited to fall in love and write music about a girlfriend.

In response, he said “Honestly, I wanna say I wanna talk to you guys about this stuff, but it’s not just me in the relationship. There’s another person involved, and I can’t say things that I feel. It’s not just me deciding, you know?”
While he didn’t mention Cabello by name, it’s safe to assume she’s the “other person involved,” following their performance together at the Video Music Awards. Cabello also posted a photo of the two of them on his birthday, saying “Happy birthday to this magic human, I love you!”
