The whirlwind romance of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson is over.

Multiple media outlets, including CNN and People, are reporting the split. The news was first reported by TMZ. Neither Grande, 25, nor Davidson, 24, have commented, but he deleted his Instagram account Sunday night.

Love blossomed for the pop star and the Saturday Night Live cast member after they met on SNL, and they became engaged just weeks after making their relationship Instagram-official in May. The two have been inseparable ever since, attending Aretha Franklin’s funeral together and adopting a pet pig.

They were besotted instantly, Davidson told magazine GQ.

“The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow,’ ” he recalled in an interview for the September issue. “She was calling my bluff.”

Upping his game, “I sent her a picture [of engagement rings],” Davidson said. “I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favourite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.’ ”

The singer swooned over her latest love in a song titled Pete Davidson, from her new album Sweetener: “Universe must have my back, fell from the sky into my lap / And I know you know that you’re my soulmate and all that.”

Grande, who has been on a break from performing since the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, was a no-show Saturday night at the first Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala in Los Angeles, where she was scheduled to perform.

The gala would have marked Grande’s first public appearance since Miller’s death on September 7 from an apparent drug overdose.

The singer is scheduled to appear on A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway, a tribute show with Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel that’s slated to air Oct. 29 on NBC.

Last Friday, Grande released a music video for her new single Breathin, starring the couple’s pet pig, Piggy Smallz.

Grande previously cancelled her gig as the musical guest on the September 29 season premiere of Saturday Night Live, for “emotional reasons,” executive producer Lorne Michaels announced. Kanye West subbed for her, making an infamous appearance as a singing Perrier bottle and going on a pro-President Donald Trump rant at the show’s conclusion.

Before that, she sat out the Emmy Awards.

“Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,“ Grande’s team told People in a statement before the show. ”She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”

Miller was featured on Grande’s breakout 2013 track The Way, beginning a successful working relationship. The two took things to the next level and started a romantic relationship in 2016, with Grande appearing on Miller’s The Divine Feminine single My Favourite Part the same year.
