The DC Universe gets complicated when comic relief hero The Flash creates a time paradox that even this sci-fi otaku has a hard time explaining.

For several years, the DC team have focused on making animated Justice League films that centred on either Batman or Superman, or the pair of them. Now there's finally a storyline that isn't about the two biggest names in the DC Comics franchise, in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

In this new animated film, Barry Allen, aka The Flash), changes time by going back into the past and saving his mother from being murdered when he was a child. In the new timeline everything is changed: The Flash has no powers, Superman is in government detention, Bruce Wayne is dead and his father Thomas is Batman, Lex Luthor is a good guy, and Aquaman and his Atlanteans are at war with Wonder Woman and her Amazonians. There's some other stuff but I don't want to give everything away. Suffice to say Barry/Flash has to step up and put things right.

This is an adaptation of the 2011 comic book crossover series, Flashpoint. The film has been released on DVD andBluRay, with bonus features editions also available. DC fans should make like The Flash, and pick up a copy pronto!
