1. Get Some Sleep Day
I'm sure everyone would appreciate a few more hours of sleep in the morning. So why not celebrate the art of sleeping by having a holiday for people to lie in?
Ruby Leung, 16
2. Non-Holy Day
Since most holidays ("holy days") are religious festivals, I think it would be fair to give non-believers, too, an official day of rest. How about Pi (3.14) Day for math enthusiasts?
Jade Lam, 16
3. Play Day
Everybody in the world would take part in a childhood game or invent a new game to play with friends and strangers. On the day, the government could make public venues available for people to go and play at.
Sarah Lee, 15
4. Do Your New Year's Resolution Month
I always forget about my New Year's resolutions, so for the whole month of January, we would make a full commitment to our resolutions instead of going to work or school! Unless your resolution is to work harder, of course...
Simon Zhou, 14
5. Meditation Day
For a whole day, you can stay at home and do absolutely nothing. This will help us relax and brace ourselves for another busy day! Wednesdays would be a nice time to have this holiday - as a break in the middle of a busy week.
Diana Lam, 18
6. Dennis Goodboy Day
On this fine day I don't have to do any work. This is also known as "every day" by my lovely colleagues.
7. Make A New Friend Day
Don't lock yourself up in your room. Instead, go out and make some new friends!
Francis Shin, 13
8. I Got Attacked By Possums Day
You can go back to school when you feel like you have recovered.
Tim Lau, 16
9. Catch-Up Holiday
You can stay at home and finish your work. The best part is, you can stay until you finish it all!
Wong Ka-shing, 15
10. Clean Your Room Week
I'm always too busy to clean my room. I would love a whole week off from school to get it spick and span!
Rue Kang, 18
