Based on a manga that was first released in December, 2009, the story follows the duo from their first meeting through their many adventures.
Ali Baba, who is working for a local trader, finds the young Aladdin helping himself to a shipment of watermelons and winds up with the bill for the stolen food.
Saddled with a free-loading Aladdin, poor Ali Baba must swallow his pride, morals and ideals to survive in a world where the wealthiest one per cent rule ruthlessly.
He discovers that Aladdin has a magical flute, which that allows him to control a djinn, or genie. So Ali Baba persuades Aladdin to join him on a dangerous quest which requires them to pass through a trap-filled, monster-riddled dungeon to claim the hidden treasures within.
The series is produced by A-1 Pictures (Okiku Furikabutte, Working!!).
This new show looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, so keep an eye out for a magic lamp, and ask the djinn within if he get the show on a local channel soon.
