The world of "bending" returns to the small screen four years after the amazing Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new Nickelodeon animated show, The Legend of Korra, is a brand-new series with a new protagonist.

The new show is set place 70 years after the defeat of the Phoenix King Ozai and Princess Azula in finale of the original series. Avatar Aang, the last airbender, has died, and a new Avatar has been found in the young and feisty Korra. As the living embodiment of the world spirit, who can control all four bending elements (earth, air, fire, and water), the Avatar must protect and inspire the people.

Korra, from the southern water tribe, runs away to Republic City to find Master Tenzin, the youngest son of Aang and Katara, to ask for help in mastering airbending.

Arriving in a city that seems like a blend of 1920s Hong Kong, New York and Shanghai, Korra finds a totally different world, where things are far from peaceful. She finds bender triads intimidating non-bender citizens, and an anti-bender group called the Equalists denouncing the benders as oppressors, and urging revolution against them.

Will Korra be able to keep the peace? And what is the Equalists' true agenda? Hopefully Nickelodeon will bring the show to Hong Kong to liven up our summer viewing with Korra's adventures, and you can find out.
