Journalist for a day
Be ready to spend an afternoon like a real journalist! You will attend a simulated press conference, take quotes and notes, and do some research before writing your news stories in teams. Hong Kong Glass Arts Development Society will teach junior reporters what it means by "fusing" in glass art. You will get to design and make your own piece of glass jewelry! Glass artist Fanny Mak will also demonstrate another interesting technique, "lampwork".

Camera Obscura
Digital photography is all about speed, but the simplicity of a pinhole camera, aka camera obscura, allows one to capture the passage of time. In this exciting step-by-step workshop, Junior Reporters will build their own pinhole camera from photographic paper, drill their own pinholes and develop their images in a darkroom.

Global Elites Seminars
You can learn about the meaning of social justice as one of the Global Elites 2011 organised by Roundtable Community. Established in 2004, Roundtable Community is made of young scholars interested in cultural and social issues. Through a range of activities, it creates a platform for young people to exchange ideas and collectively build and sustain a diversified culture in Hong Kong.
This year’s programme includes seminars on human rights, natural disasters, economic success and the role of government and law. There will also be leadership workshops and a training camp, as well as a model United Nations conference. Students aged 15 to 19 are welcome to participate.
