The soundtrack to dance flick Step Up 3D features tunes from big names like Flo Rida, T-Pain, M.I.A. and Busta Rhymes. The diverse artists offer a range of styles from reggae to hip-hop and electropop.

Lead single Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida (featuring David Guetta) is already being celebrated as something of a club anthem. The pared-down opening catches your attention and the song soon builds into an upbeat celebration of party life.

Another standout track is Laza Morgan's solo debut This Girl. Morgan's self-dubbed 'sing-J' style mixes hip-hop with sounds from his Jamaican roots, resulting in a fresh, tuneful song.

The two Latin tracks that close the album also make for great listening. Puerto Rican duo Wisin Y Yandel sing Irresistible, a clever mix of rap and reggae-infused verses set over echoing synths. Closer No Te Quiero by Sophia del Carmen showcases the singer's soaring vocals. Her talent is refreshing in a disc dominated by synthesizers and heavy beats.

At its heart, this is a dance album, so the songs may seem long and repetitive to non-fans. Some tracks only work in the context of the movie, and the lyrics are largely best ignored.

But there are enough infectious tracks and likeable tunes to get any party started.
