Magic, nature and the power of friendship are the main themes in new anime Heartcatch PreCure!

Fans of the Pretty Cure series can rejoice in the knowledge that another magical girl anime will be making its way to Hong Kong.

Junior high school student Tsubomi Hanasaki loves nature. But when the mystical Heart Tree is targeted by the evil Professor Sabaaku and his apostles, her love becomes the reason she is granted magical powers. These powers give her the ability to transform into a Precure, a magical warrior. Along with her friend Erika Kurumi, Tsubomi will try to keep Sabaaku from taking over the world.

The series is produced by Toei Animation, the studio responsible for the other Pretty Cure shows, as well as Sailor Moon, Digimon and Slam Dunk.

Voicing the two lead characters are Nana Mizuki as Tsubomi (Cure Blossom) and Fumie Mizusawa as Erika (Cure Marine). Both actors have has voiced many well known characters in anime series and movies, and in video games.

Fans of series like Creamy Mami, Sailor Moon and Futari wa Pretty Cure will love this series thanks to the cute and comedic aspects, as well as the girl power and friendship themes.

Since the previous Pretty Cure series have been shown on local television stations, this new show, which is currently airing in Japan, should also be making its way across to Hong Kong very soon.
