A change of season often means a change of wardrobe, but what do you do with your old clothes?

The Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (HKYAF) is partnering with the New World Development Company and China Young Leaders Foundation on a project aimed at motivating young people to find new uses for old clothes. The idea is to turn trash into trendy artwork which will be displayed in Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Art Mall in June.

A series of workshops for young people aged 15 to 20 will be hosted by a costume designer to explore costume design. Participants will create new garments from the old clothes, which will modelled in a fashion show to launch the exhibition.

To take part in the workshops, e-mail [email protected] by Tuesday, March 2.

Donations of clean clothes in good condition will be accepted until April 1 at the HKYAF office: Unit 204 Westlands Centre 18 Westlands Road Quarry Bay.
