Teaching kindergarten may seem like an easy job, but when you teach a child with an overwhelming 'can do' attitude, things can get a bit more exciting. Hanamaru Kindergarten is perfect for anime fans looking for a few laughs.

The show focuses on newly hired kindergarten teacher Tsuchida who has just graduated from college. He happens to teach Anzu, the daughter of a former schoolmate. The little girl develops a crush on him and announces that she wants to be his future wife.

To make matters more awkward, Anzu's mother (and Tsuchida's high school friend) totally supports her daughter. Tsuchida himself is infatuated with a fellow kindergarten teacher, the sweet and beautiful Yamamoto.

The original manga is written and illustrated by Yuto, and Hanamaru Kindergarten is their first major published work. It is currently being serialised in the monthly anthology magazine Young Gangan published by Square Enix.

The show features a light pastel-colour palette art style and occasional soft focus lens effects. While there may not be any big action sequences with alien monsters or romantic high school drama scenes, Hanamaru Kindergarten is a sweet and funny anime that will appeal to young and old fans. Keep an eye out for when it becomes available on streaming media site www.crunchyroll.com or DVD.
