A poster circulated on Telegram calls for students to join the rally at Edinburgh Place today. One of the main messages they want to bring out is that though Carrie Lam said the protesters had no stake in society, they are indeed the future of Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Secondary School Students Anti-ELAB Rally is set to take place today at Edinburgh Place in Central from 3pm to 7.30 pm.

The rally has been granted a letter of no objection from the police. According to some promotion posters circulated on Instagram, the rally will include talks by guest speakers, conversations between teachers and students, and counselling sessions by social workers.

Over the past few days, a wave of school-based student concern groups have emerged on social media platforms. Many are calling on students to join the gathering today, as well as to participate in the weekly class boycotts starting on September 2.
