New season, new start –

New broken knee

O maker of heavens, trees and grass;

why consign my heart

to this beautiful game –

yet callously tear it apart?

Should I have known that

this would hurt

more than a thousand thorns

pricking my bare flesh?

Then I’d rather you brainwash me –

shred away all my memories.
