Zika virus

Zika is spread by daytime-active Aedes mosquitoes and creates a disorder where the body starts treating its own nerves as a disease and attack it. Anyone can get it, and it typically follows an infection of some kind. Symptoms of Zika include weakness or tingling in the legs, which could also spread to the upper body at arms. The victim is then paralysed and may experience breathing problems. Most people are weakest after three weeks with the disease, and while most people make a full recovery, others may continue to have weakness in their muscles. And although most cases are mild, people can and have died from complications linked to Zika.
