March 14 was a rainy day, but it didn't stop 200 students from 11 schools taking part in King Ling College's Reading Forum. This year, students from Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Shanghai, and Wuxi took part.

Ms Betty Leung, the chief school development officer from the Education Bureau's Language Learning Support Section, was the guest of honour.

After the opening ceremony, students talked about their favourite books. Many gave presentations, and some others discussed the stories of The Lottery, The Red Convertible, and Chinese Cinderella.

Everyone loved the debate on the motion, "Violence begets violence", a phrase used in the Gospel of Matthew.

Students had a great day, and hopefully the event will encourage them to read more.
