The students are serious about serving their schoolmates.

September 18, 2014, was a memorable day for my classmates and our school. It was the day of the student union election and our hard work finally paid off.

In Secondary Two, myself and some of my classmates promised to organise a student union to improve school life and make our secondary years unforgettable.

We started by calling ourselves Sirius (pronounced "serious"). We chose this name because our aim was, and still is, to serve our schoolmates sincerely and honestly. We started from nothing, but we worked hard and stuck to our goal of creating a great student union that would serve and guide the students.

From moments of laughter to supporting each other through tough challenges, I have a lot of memories which I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Finally, the student union became a reality. Realising our goal was a very emotional moment and we all burst into tears and hugged each other tightly.

But we couldn't have achieved our goal without the help and support of our teachers and all the students who voted for us. We are grateful for their help in making our dream come true.

We promise to serve the students to the best of our ability.
