A Poem for Someone Special

A thousand lives I had waited to be with you
It's like I finally found what the world had sent me to do
You caught my eye in a brief moment
It felt as if my heart had been stolen

My chest felt heavy, my cheeks went warm
and butterflies in my stomach had started to form
No other person had made me feel this way
for when my eyes met yours it just made my day

There are no words to describe how you make me feel
All I know is that this feeling is real
I love you more than any word can say
And I hope you love me every step of the way
