We all need goals in life

We all need goals in life

We all need to set goals to work towards in life - such as our studies, sports or future career. Without targets, we would be travelling aimlessly. We need to have a destination.

It's important that people take the time to identify exactly what they want to do, and where they want to go in the future.

You may have heard about setting SMART goals - these are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.

Progress should be monitored to help check whether each decision or action is taking you nearer your goal, within the time frame you have set.

However, waiting for something to inspire you, and hoping that the perfect outcome will just fall into your lap, is nothing but a fantasy.

Making a clear decision doesn't happen unless you physically put in the time and effort to make it happen.

If you don't have any clear goals right now, because you don't know what you want, then sit down and decide what your hopes are.

You would know what you want to do with your life when you take action yourself.

Clarity is a choice: it doesn't simply come to you. You have to go grab it.
